- Session 5: April 21 to May 26 for either Baptism , Evangelism 101, and Parenting your Children.
- Baptism class is for anyone who has trusted Christ for salvationand would like to outwardly identify with the body of Christ the inward repentance and belief in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Biblical baptism occurs when a person who has trusted Christ for salvation is immersed into water to symbolize their identification with the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Have you been baptized?
- Evangelism 101 will help you better explain the gospel of Jesus Christ. Please join us as we review the gospel, learn how to write and share a personal testimony, and learn simple techniques to share the gospel as a witness to the grace of God. Taught by John Drexel and Wayne Peterman.
- Parenting your Children. Parenting is difficult but fortunately God’s Word gives us specific principles and the necessary resources for raising our children in the discipline and instruction of the Lord. To that end, Todd Dykstra and Matt George will be teaching this class using Tedd Tripp’s book Shepherding a Child’s Heart (please sign up to purchase a copy of this book or bring your own). Our aim is to learn how to focus on the heart of our children rather than simply controlling their behavior and also to motivate parents to be intentional and proactive in instructing their children. Please bring your copy of the book as we will be discussing the introduction and first 3 chapters on the 21st. We look forward to some lively discussions as we learn how to better train our children in the ways of the Lord. Join us in LL3!
