A word about Maranatha Bible Church

My wife and I were married for a total of a week before we moved to Grand Rapids where we didn’t know anybody. However, despite being far away from friends and our families we have had the privilege of being welcomed into a wonderful church family at Maranatha. My wife and I have both been so blessed by the ministries and the people of the church and I am really look forward to serving Maranatha as an intern.

Favorite Verses

Isaiah 40:28-29

28 Do you not know? Have you not heard?
The Everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth
Does not become weary or tired.
His understanding is inscrutable.
29 He gives strength to the weary,
And to him who lacks might He increases power.

Psalm 13:6

I will sing to the Lord,
Because He has dealt bountifully with me.

Matthew 6:25-33

25 “For this reason I say to you, do not be worried about your life, as towhat you will eat or what you will drink; nor for your body, as to what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? 26 Look at the birds of the air, that they do not sow, nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth much more than they? 27 And who of you by being worried canadd a single hour to his life? 28 And why are you worried about clothing? Observe how the lilies of the field grow; they do not toil nor do they spin, 29 yet I say to you that not even Solomon in all his glory clothed himself like one of these. 30 But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which is alive today and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, will He not much more clothe you? You of little faith! 31 Do not worry then, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘What will we wear for clothing?’ 32 For the Gentiles eagerly seek all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. 33 But seek firstHis kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

Matthew 11:28-30

28 “Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

John 3:16

For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.
