1.  The Particulars of the Parable – Vss 28-31a
   .     A.  First Son

   .     C.  Which one did the Father’s will?
   .     D.  Condemned themselves – Vs. 31b
2. The Principles of the Parable – Vss 31c-32
   .               John 3:36, 14:15, 2 Thessalonians 1:7-8, 1 Peter 4:17
   ……A.  Prostitutes/tax collectors
   .            The first son – social outcasts responded
   .     B.  Chief Priests/Jewish leaders
   .            The second son – lost condition, delusion of righteousness

Three Implications
1.  Even the most notorious sinner can be saved – you can never out-sin God’s grace
2.  Repentance is a gospel requirement – an emotional and volitional response
3.  Profession without obedience is no proof of conversion – Matthew 23:2-3, 7:21-23, James 2:26
