We exist to display God's glory, declare God's truth, delight in God's Son, and disciple God's people

History

Maranatha Bible Church began as an outreach of Calvary church in 1963 at the Stoney Creek School in Comstock Park.

In 1964 land was purchased at 149 Lamoreaux. A building was built and services began in May of that same year.

The fellowship of believers organized as a church in July 1966. By 1968, attendance had increased to 149.

Land was purchased over the years with a larger church built in 1971 and a former Boy Scout camp (Camp Lyon) was purchased in 1980.

A new classroom addition has been added to update and expand our facilities. As the northwest area of Grand Rapids continues to grow we will continue to grow to meet the needs of the people in that area.
