We exist to display God's glory, declare God's truth, delight in God's Son, and disciple God's people

Parents

The family is the most foundational building block of society, and it was the first institution created by God (Genesis 2:20-25). Because of this, Scripture speaks often of what a godly family should look like, including the roles, responsibilities, and expectations of each member.

In light of that, the desire of MBC’s Children’s and Youth Ministry is to partner with parents and families, providing the resources below as a means to serve and help the families of MBC in their calling.

Adult Fellowship Group: “What is a Biblical Family?” – This 6-week series discusses the Biblical family. This class serves as an overview of what the Bible says about some key topics, roles and patterns that should be in every family.

Adult Fellowship Group: Proactive Discipleship – Parents, biblically, are the primary disciplers of their children (Deuteronomy 6:4-9; Proverbs 22:6; Ephesians 6:1-4). Therefore, parents should consider what it means to disciple others. Below is a series from MBC’s Adult Fellowship Group on proactive discipleship.

Family Matters: MBC Pastor’s Podcast – This series takes a deep-dive into the biblical model for the family. This includes the biblical foundations for the family, marriage, parenting, and singleness, the purpose of the family, the attacks on the family, as well as a host of practical topics to consider. This is a great resource for anyone looking to deepen their understanding of the biblical model for the family.
