September Book of the Month

 Title:  Rescuing The Gospel

Authors:  Erwin W. Lutzer

Summary:  This book is a telling of the story and significance of the reformation. “In prose that captivates as it informs, Erwin Lutzer captures the people, places, and big ideas that fueled the Reformation.  He explains its lasting influence on the church and western civilization.  And, perhaps most importantly, he shows why the actions of passionate believers five hundred years ago still matter today.” (Taken from the back jacket of the book)  Erwin himself has traveled to many of the places he writes about, which makes this more interesting. I have read and recommend the book.  It is an easy read and very appropriate for this year, the 500th anniversary of the Reformation.
