Favorite Verses

Ephesians 2:8-9

For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is a gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.

2 Corinthians 12:9-10

And He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.” Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me. Therefore I am well content with weaknesses, with insults, with distresses, with persecutions, with difficulties, for Christ’s sake; for when I am weak, then I am strong.

Romans 8:28-30

And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brethren; and these whom He predestined, He also called; and these whom He called, He also justified; and these whom He justified, He also glorified.

2 Corinthians 5:21

He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

A word about Maranatha Bible Church

I’ve been coming to Maranatha since I was a sophomore in high school. At that time, I wasn’t a believer, more of a make-believer. I first started attending the high school youth group with my friends, and I was told the truth of the gospel. My understanding of my sin and need for Christ radically changed during my time there.

I started attending Sunday mornings and slowly started to grasp the truth of my need for Christ. Sitting under sound teaching and having the fellowship of the church, I became a true believer in Christ. From there, I just wanted to be involved in the church. I started attending regularly, became a member, and started serving on the worship team and in youth ministry.

I now have the great blessing of serving the Lord full-time at MBC.

Not sure that I could really just say “a word” about Maranatha. God blessed my wife and me with an amazing church family.
